After a day of driving in horrible rain, we arrived in Marvell, AR about 6 p.m. on Sunday. It was pouring when we got here but the building is dry! The building we are staying in is the old high school, once the elementary but was purchased by Miss Barbi specifically for Youthworks servant events. The auditorium has beautiful hardwood floors and big windows. It is a cool building. The dining hall is a separate building behind the school.
After unpacking the vans, we had dinner and our orientation. We then went to Club time with the theme ‘Free -free from Sins'. We were all very tired by the time for lights out at 11. Our room didn't make a sound.
There is no internet at this building but the Methodist church down the road will let us borrow theirs from time to time during the week. Not quite as handy for making these reports but it will do. We will write more later.
Glad everyone made it there safe and sound. Keep the pictures coming...it is so wonderful to see the kids and the people they are working with and through in the community.
